Skin Care

As you age, you must take care of your skin. the alternative is not good -hundreds if not thousands of skin lesions and problems that plague everyone. Fortunately, with a little information and with some of the most recent skin care products and developments, you can keep your skin healthy. And it all starts with he basics –diet, water, and nutrition.

Healthy skin is a reflection of what you eat and how well your digestion and organs of elimination (kidneys/liver/bowels) function. So start with a whole foods diet with plenty of pure water. A good source of pure water is essential because your skin as also known as your third kidney. also, when it comes to your skin, you definitely are what you eat. So get on a Mediterranean diet and reduce or eliminate fast, processed, industrially-produced, artificial, low0fat, low-cholesterol, non-food concoctions. Instead eat protein and fat (eggs, lean meat, fish, poultry, beans and legumes, whole-milk dairy, and more), and eat complex carbohydrates (whole fruit and vegetables with 1/3 raw).

Health Problems that Cause Skin Problems

Dozens of health problems reflect in your skin. the most common problems that affect your skin are kidney, liver, thyroid, digestion, and bowel problems. Fortunately, the 21-day purification Protocol will enhance kidney, liver, and bowel function and help you resolve deep underlying issues. Problems that affect your skin are:

Thyroid problems:  Cataplex F (3-6 daily) will help you resolve some of theses problems when combined with Thytrophin (3-6 daily) from Standard Process.

Digestion – Stomach: Digestive problems that affect your skin can start in your stomach with insufficient stomach acid. This will retard your digits of proteins needed by your skin. and it’s one more reason why antacids should never be used. You can test for this condition by performing the zypan test. It is a simple test that would normally cost around $2,000 in a hospital. Simply buy a bottle of Zypan from Standard Process and take one tablet per meal. If your digestion improves, try two, then three per meal. If you are digesting better, you are deficient in stomach acid and you should continue with Zypan therapy for 6-12 months. Once protein digestion improves, it is not long before you will see it reflected in your skin.

Digestion – Gallbladder: Gallbladder problems can affect your skin. When you have gallstones, sludge, or thick bile, you do not digest fats properly. With these problems, you generally have the “burps” after eating. and by the way, if your gallbladder has been surgically removed, you still have the underlying cause of the problem -even if your “burps” are gone.

Your skin depends on good fats and fat digestion. And your skin contains plenty of cholesterol. That’s another reason why statins are not a good idea as they retard proper cholesterol metabolism in your body and your cells. Instead take A-F Betafood (3-4 per meal) by Standard Process to get the benefit of the phytochemical betaine which naturally thins the bile, aiding your gallbladder. If you start on A-F Betafood for a sluggish gallbladder and your digestion improves, it will be a short time before you notice it in your skin.

Digestion – Small Intestine: Your small intestine can affect your skin. After all, this is where most of the absorption of nutrients needed by your skin takes place. If you suffer from poor digestion and/or malabsorption syndrome be sure to use the premiere small intestine product, Okra Pepsin E3 (2-3 per meal) by Standard Process. The stickiness of the plant okra will stick the pepsin and healing E3 (allantoin and more phytonutrients) to your intestinal lining to “enzyme away” stale mucus and promote healing.

digestion – gut (colon):  and finally your gut or colon can dramatically affect your skin. You must nurture your gut and all the microbes in it (your flora). If you are constantly constipated or have diarrhea, your skin will suffer. If you have taken lots of antibiotics, your skin will suffer. So if this is you, treat the underlying cause by healing your gut.

Start with proper diet and lots of pure water. And correcting any or all of the other digestive problems previously discussed in this article will go a long way toward nurturing a healthy gut. When it comes directly to your colon, be sure to use the probiotic ProSymbiotic (1-2 capsules daily for 6-12 months) by Standard Process. This product not only contains live healthy bacteria, but also the food for these bacteria known as probiotics in the form of inulin and other phytonutrients.

If you have chronic diarrhea or constipation/diarrhea syndrome be sure to eliminate all wheat and gluten for at least two weeks to make sure gluten is not the cause of your problem. Be sure to slowly increase your dietary fiber and roughage. If necessary, you can use a little (less than a teaspoon) psyllium husk powder in water followed by another full glass of water daily for a while.
