Meet Nathalie Trees

Nathalie Trees Acupuncture MontereyNathalie Trees, L.Ac. is a wellness specialist trained in Acupuncture, Herbology and Functional Medicine. Her passion is finding natural solutions to help stressed out men and women increase their vitality, feel more passionate, and facilitate self-knowledge that will last a lifetime. She uses a step-by-step approach to properly diagnose, evaluate and create natural solutions to support her client’s wellness goals.  Her area of specialty covers digestive issues such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), Inflammatory Bowel Disease (Ulcerative Colitis and Crohns), non celiac gluten sensitivity, and Metabolic Syndrome (intersection of nutrition, hormones, and inflammation).

Nathalie Trees, L.Ac. graduated with a four year Master’s degree (M.T.O.M) that included 2,240 classroom hours and 970 clinical hours from Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine.  Her clinical studies included an internship with UCLA’s Arthur Ashe Student Center where she introduced Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine to college students.  While she was in school, Nathalie volunteered as an herbalist with Dragon Herbs, a premier supplier of Chinese tonic herbs and teas.  This opportunity gave her tremendous insight into the power of tonic herbalism and how to use these formulas for lesser known conditions.

Shortly after graduating, Nathalie accepted an Acupuncturist position with the cruise line industry.  This was a once in a lifetime opportunity that gave her the transformative experience of providing almost 2000 individual treatments to people from all over the world in 15 months.  During her time at sea, she crossed both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans and visited over 35 individual ports of call.

When the adventure of work and travel came to a close, Nathalie decided to settle in the beautiful Monterey Peninsula region of California.  Here she completed a three year doctorate level program studying Medical Qi gong with Jerry Alan Johnson, PhD, DTCM, DMQ  through the International Institute of Medical Qi Gong.  This was an internationally recognized program focused on the inner cultivation practices of Qi using the martial arts of Qi gong, Tai qi, and Ba gua and the outer cultivation Qi practices such as energy healing.  The program included over 2,000 hours of combined didactic and clinical work.

My goal is to identify your root cause(s) of fatigue, exhaustion, depression, weight gain, and hormone dysfunction that are interfering with the quality of your life.  Instead of chasing the symptoms of disease, together we will create a program to support your body’s deep innate ability to heal body-mind-and heart, from the inside out.”

Nathalie Trees, L.Ac. is the owner and practitioner of Trees Acupuncture and Functional Medicine Clinic  which offers online digital consultations and online health programs.  She has worked with clients all over the United States and Europe.  The decision to incorporate this style of medicine has literally transformed lives for the better and she is thrilled and honored to share this approach to health with you.
